Homemade SLS free soap recipes and ingridients

Liquid / Gel Soap

Ingridients 

2 cups soap flakes or grated bar soap 

1/2 gallon water 

2 tablespoons glycerin 

Mix all elements together in a big pot or dutch oven. Stir slowly on a low heat until the soap has dissolved. Pour to a jar and cover tightly. If you want the soap to be less thick, use 1 gallon of water.

Vanilla and Almond Soap

This soap perfectly removes dirt and oil from the skin. Vanilla gives the gentle scent and the ground almonds provide a soap with good texture. Ingridients for one bar: 

1/3 cup whole almonds 

1/4 ounce bar Castile soap 

1/4 cup distilled water 

1 tbsp almond oil 

1/8 teaspoon vanilla aroma oil 

Crush the almonds to a fine powder in a blender or coffee mill and put aside. Cut the soap in bits and set aside. In a heavy pot boil the water; then lower the heat to a simmer. Put the pan off heat and add the almond powder, almond oil, and vanilla scented oil, stirrit until rather blended. Pour your homemade soap into a mold and it harden for five hours.

Coconut & Olive Soap

What you need: 

1 cup olive oil 

1 cup coconut oil 

1 cup animal fat 

2 tablespoons lye 

1/2 cup cold soft water 

Use safety goggles and gloves, mix up solid lye and liquid, stir it well. Put it aside and allow to cool. It is better to do that outdoors. Mix up oils and heat a little. When the mixture of fats and oils is homogenious allow the temperature to drop to 100° F to 125° F.

Mix up lye solution and melted oils. Try not to splash while joining the mixtures. Stir to tracing. If tracing takes more than 15 minutes, trace it again with 5 min. intervals. Pour raw soap into your soap molds. After a 3-4 days the soap you can take soap out of the mold. If the soap is very soft, allow it to harden for a few days more. Cut soap into bars and set the bars out to firm and dry. Place the bars on the surface that will allow them to breathe.

Note: If you don't want to have deal with animal fat and lye, you can substitute shavings from any white odour-free soap.

Peaches And Cream Bath Bar

Ingridients: 

Castile soap (or pure white odour-free soap) 

1/4 cup distilled water 

1/4 cup powdered milk 

1 tbsp sweet almond oil 

1/8 teaspoon peach aroma oil 

1 drop orange food coloring (optionally) 

Grind the Castile soap and put aside. Heat the water in a heavy spot over low heat. Stir in the grinded soap until it forms a viscid mass. Take the pan off the heat and add the powdered milk, almond oil, peach aroma oil,optionally food coloring. Stir the mass until it blended. Spoon the soap into its mold and let cure for 4 hours or until hardened.

Cinnamon Soap 

odour-free glycerin soap 

10 drops cinnamon oil 

1 drop red food coloring (optionally) 

In a heavy pan, melt the glycerin soap over gentle heat until liquefied. Put the pan away from heat and pour in the cinnamon oil and coloring until well blended. Spoon the soap into a mold and let cure for 3 hours or until hardened. 

Mechanic's Hand Cleanser

What you need: 

1 c. borax 

1-2 tablespoons pure turpentine 

1 tablespoon sweet orange essential oil 

1 piece ground soap 

Wash your hands thoroughly before you pour the turpentine and essential oil into the borax until there are no balls left, then pour it into the soap. Keep it in a jar that's easy for him to open.
